A nine month pregnant Jessica Simpson fulfills bridesmaid duties
Jessica Simpson may be holding off on saying “I do” until after the baby is born, but she was still able to walk down the aisle on Saturday. A very pregnant Simpson fulfilled her bridesmaid duties while attending friend Lauren Zelman and actor Bret Harrison’s wedding at the Parker Palm Springs.
“She was a good sport about being a bridesmaid even though she is so pregnant,” an insider explained to Us Weekly. “It definitely wasn’t easy for her to get around and help the bride.”
Zelman, pal and former assistant to the Fashion Star judge, also included Simpson’s sister, Ashlee, in her wedding party. The bridesmaids wore colorful dresses and Simpson tried her best to keep from falling. A source disclosed that Simpson held on to the wedding coordinator for support and walked “very slowly” down the aisle.
Since the expectant mother is nine months pregnant, she reportedly took a seat and rested her legs during the ceremony.
Other wedding attendees included Simpson’s fiancé, Eric Johnson, Ashlee’s boyfriend, Vincent Piazza, and the two celebs’ parents, Joe and Tina Simpson. Ashlee’s adorable son, Bronx, joined in on the fun and served as the ring-bearer.
OC star and Harrison’s friend Adam Brody was also a member of the wedding party and The OC creator Josh Schwartz was another famous guest.
