In a family with six children, it may be hard at times to stand out.

But Zahara Jolie-Pitt is certainly developing a personality of her own.

The seven-year-old was spotted sporting new braided hair with blue streaks as she strolled around the French Quarter of New Orleans with her moviestar mother Angelina and two of her siblings, Pax, eight, and Vivienne, three.

Hands on: The family were seen smiling and joking as they held hands walking down the street

She usually wears her curly dark locks pulled back in a ponytail.

Ethiopian-born Zahara added a large red flower to her new ‘do and wore a pretty pink sundress as she visited a local grocery store with her family.

The little girl was last week seen walking her family’s bulldog, with Maddox and Shiloh, with her tresses tied back.

Meanwhile, Pax definitely seems to be the most boisterous one of the famous brood.

The animated eight-year-old kept his mother and two sisters entertained during the day out.

Angelina held her girls’ hands at Pax exercised his freedom and gesticulated and spun around as he walked.

The group were happy as they picked up candy, crisps and some newspapers before walking back home.

Dressed all in black, Angelina covered up her tiny frame in a pair of trousers and a loose fitting sweater.

Her other children, Maddox, 10, Shiloh, five and Knox, three stayed at home for the store run.

Meanwhile, their father Brad Pitt was later seen emerging from their residence in a fetching black jumpsuit. It is unknown if it was a fashion choice or donned to do some manual labour.

After their short stay, the whole brood were seen jumping onboard a private jet for their onward journey and no doubt excited about another adventure ahead.

Last night Angelina accompanied Pitt, 48, for his fundraiser in his beloved city.

Pitt fell in love with the southern town after he filmed movie Interview With A Vampire with Tom Cruise there in 1994.

He and Jolie, 36, own their own property there in the French Quarter.

Pitt has been tireless in his aid work since Hurricane Katrina decimated the area in 2005.

‘Each time I come back to New Orleans and drive over that bridge, I get this swell of joy,’ Pitt told Reuters, his eyes going watery. ‘It’s means a lot to me to watch that neighbourhood take shape.’

The actor shared his feelings about the city and its recovery with a few thousand people on Saturday evening, as he and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, a New Orleans native, hosted the Make It Right Foundation’s biggest fundraiser at a New Orleans hotel.

Billed as A Night to Make It Right, the star-studded, sold-out gala drew up to 1,200 guests who paid between $1,000 and $2,500 to attend a dinner.

The food was prepared by New Orleans celebrity chefs John Besh and Emeril Lagasse, and a concert featuring musical stars Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, Seal and Dr. John.

The lineup included Hollywood luminaries and honorary hosts Sean Penn, Spike Lee, Josh Brolin and Kevin Spacey.

Pitt estimated the events and sponsorships would raise $4 million for Make it Right, which aims to build 150 homes in the Lower Ninth Ward and has pulled in about $30 million since its founding four years ago.

Oh, careful – it looks like you got the nanny’s hand in the picture where Zahara. You didn’t quite cut her out entirely. Angelina won’t be pleased.

I’ve noticed Zahara has good taste in clothes. Maybe she would like to be a designer, or model for a couple of years when she is in her late teens? But then, perhaps she has other interests. Vivienne has such a happy smile, and Pax – well, he seems to be full of energy and it looks like he loves to goof around – maybe he will be in action movies one day? As for Brad Pitt dressing up – wow! :)

All that money, yet cheap shoes for the kids…come on!

At the end of the day, no one really know if Brad and Ange are good parents or not. The proof will be in about 10-15 years time – will the kids be falling out of nightclubs and checking into rehab or will they be functioning adults? only time will tell…

All that travelling can’t be good for the children. They can’t ever make friends or have proper schooling, if they are moving from place to place all the time.

these children are always smiling its lovely

Don’t see why Kate Cavanagh of Los Angeles should be red arrowed. Plastic bags are a menace. Shops should stop issuing them, as they have in France. Ireland makes you pay for them. Others obviously just don’t care…..

What is happening to Angelina” s figure?

My son would love the life of a Jolie-Pitt. Some people feign concern for the children in order to attack Jolie. Do you care more about welfare of Angelina’s children than the children’s mother herself ?. I like Angelina not as a role model, but as a person who made mistakes and will make mistakes but who also learns from mistakes to strive to be better.

Can this family not walk down the street together without being photographed?
