Angelina Jolie's Infatuation With Kate Middleton Continues As She Invites The Duchess To Olympics Party
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Angelina Jolie is OB-sessed with Kate Middleton. From copy-Kate-ing the Duchess’ glossy tumbling brunette curls and imitating her swooshy Jenny Packham gowns to opting for the very same accessories, the A-list star is slowly but surely morphing into the young Royal. And let’s not forget that earlier this year, rumours were swirling that La Jolie is so infatuated with the DoC that she even wants to play her in a biopic.
So it came as no surprise to hear today that Brangelina have invited the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to their own Olympics party. According to The Mirror, the couple – who are as close to royalty as you can get in Hollywood – are hosting a swanky shindig for the opening ceremony – two days before the official one.
The Olympics-themed event will be held at London’s Victoria Albert Museum on July 25 in honour of boxing great Muhammad Ali. The glittering guest list also includes Prince Harry as well as A-list chums from David and Victoria Beckham, Sharon Stone, Michael Douglas AND Catherine Zeta-Jones. Blimey!
The black tie extravaganza will raise funds for the Sports For Peace initiative and will see a champagne reception on the museum’s lawns before a four-course banquet dinner. The party will continue at Angelina and Brad Pitt’s £20million townhouse, which they’re currently renting while the actress films new movie Maleficient in our fair capital.
‘Angelina is on official work duty but Brad is ensuring fun will be had after hours, and is very hands-on organising the booze-fuelled house party after,’ a source tells the British newspaper. ‘It’s going to be an Olympics-themed party, with huge buckets of home-made cocktails on offer. The who’s who of British and American celebrity will be in attendance, and invitees have been ordered not to take any photos from their phones.’
