French Mayor Slams Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Wedding Rumours As 'Nonsense'
A French mayor, who allegedly confirmed the rumours that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were set to marry this weekend, has said that the reports were “nonsense” and he is far from impressed with the number of calls he’s been receiving.
The mayor denied a report in Hello magazine that quoted him as saying that the Hollywood couple would be getting hitched over the weekend at their nearby Chateau.
Brad and Angelina own Chateau Miraval in southern France and it was rumoured that they would be exchanging vows very soon, with their £1 million wedding rings ready for collection a short drive away.
Michael Latz, the mayor of Correns said: “ I don’t know who they are.”
When asked if they would be having a wedding soon, he said: “It’s nonsense. I’ve had 50 phone calls and I am telling everyone to get lost because this is tiresome and irritates me.
“I am going to pursue them (Hello) for misleading statements.”
Brad, 48, and Angelina, 37, announced that they were engaged in April this year, but during Cannes film festival, the ‘Moneyball’ actor denied that they had set a wedding date despite their six children urging them to get married.
