LOS ANGELES, Calif.Jennifer Lopez‘s new track, “Papi,” was partially inspired by her soon-to-be ex-husband, Marc Anthony.

The “American Idol” judge revealed Marc’s influence on the song – off her “Love” album — when she did an interview with Los Angeles radio station KIIS FM’s “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Friday morning.

“I always use the word ‘papi’; I call everyone ‘papi’; I used to call Marc ‘papi’; It was ‘papi, papi, papi,’ all the time,” Jennifer said. “[My producers and I] wrote this song about loving somebody and just celebrating that.”

Jennifer explained that her new song is about loving someone from anywhere.

“Even though you’re not with the person, they’re still there with you, and you can still celebrate them,” Jennifer said. “It’s really like a celebration of being with someone you really love.”

The superstar has been pulling double duty, promoting her new single, and filming the next season of “American Idol,” the show’s eleventh, and she explained that things haven’t been as cuddly as they were for Season 10.

“The kids — we’re like being really tough on them,” Jennifer said. “I think me and Randy [Jackson] and Steven [Tyler] got into our first fight… I got really, really upset. There was this girl that came in and sang and she was amazing.”

Jennifer said that after the unidentified girl finished her audition tune, Stephen asked for another number, to the surprise of Jennifer, who thought she was fantastic. But the young woman obliged anyway.

“So she starts singing and he goes, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah. No.’ And I was like, ‘You’re kidding!’ Randy said, ‘Oh, me too.’ Literally, I thought I was being ‘Punk’d,’” she explained.

Ryan told Jennifer he saw her get angry as the contestant was passed over.

“The thing I recognized from that scene was there was blood boiling for the first time,” Ryan noted.

“I was upset,” she explained. “I just knew this girl deserved a chance and I just got so mad that she wasn’t gonna get it because I thought they weren’t paying attention or something.”
