While in New York over the weekend, I checked in with a good Jennifer Lopez source who adds her voice to the chorus claiming J. Lo is seriously looking at another walk down the aisle — with current love Casper Smart.

The veteran Lopez observer said the recent promotion of Smart from backup dancer to J. Lo’s lead choreographer is further evidence of the entertainment queen’s desire to make her main man “more respectable and more of an equal” in the eyes of both her personal team and the public at large.

The source noted that Smart is just that — very wise, especially when it comes to his relationship with Lopez.

“He knows when to bend and when to stand up to her. He’s very savvy about handling women in general,” said the Lopez pal with a big grin.

† This longtime friend of Lopez — back when she was “Jenny from the Block” — adds, “Jennifer also wants to have another baby,” this time with Smart. From our chat, don’t be surprised if there’s both another marriage and child on J. Lo’s schedule within the next year — or less.

Lenz also will appear in the “Thor 2” sequel, starring Chris Hemsworth — due out next year — and was in the hit play “Hit the Wall,” which recently closed at Steppenwolf.

GEM OF A NIGHT: Candace Jordan was excited she got to wear the $101,000 brown diamond Pomellato “Tango” bracelet Sunday night for the Joffrey Ballet Women’s Board’s 10th anniversary gala, which Jordan co-chaired with Helen Melchior.
