Jessica Simpson Baby Delivery: $2 Million Birth Will Cost More Than Beyonce’s

Having a baby is hard work. You’ve got to come up with names, prepare a nursery and, if you’re Jessica Simpson, decide how many armed guards you want to patrol the private hospital wing you’ve rented for the delivery.
Fearing a kidnapping, Simpson has opted for no fewer than 30, according to the April 9 issue of In Touch Weekly (via Hollywoodlife.com), and when all’s said and done, she’ll reportedly spend more on her daughter’s birth than Jay-Z and Beyonce did on Blue Ivy’s. The total price tag is expected to hit $2 million — a staggering amount that includes the kid’s $14,500 crib and the lookalike Jessica has hired to throw paparazzi off her trail.
No word yet on what Beyonce thinks of being trumped, but this could be the start of a long rivalry between the Simpsons and the Carters. Wait until Blue Ivy and Jessica’s daughter are old enough to get married. The expenditures could climb into the billions.
