So far this month she has been spotted several times heading to the gym in a desperate bid to lose her baby weight.Â
Since giving birth to her daughter Maxwell Drew on May 1, Jessica Simpson is said to be determined to slim down.
And it has now been revealed that the 31-year-old is on a strict timeline to lose the pounds for her upcoming Weight Watchers campaign – in which she is getting paid a reported $4 million to reach her 130 pound goal weight.Â
Several visits: It’s not the first time that Jessica has
been seen leaving a private gym in Los Angeles as in the same week
she was spotted finishing another workout
The singer and actress has been given the task of losing 50lbs in just five months, according to In Touch magazine. Â
But
according to the publication, friends say that the star, who is also
trying to care for her newborn little girl, is feeling ‘stressed and
overwhelmed’.
‘She’s so
emotional,’ a friend told the magazine. ‘She doesn’t want to go to the
gym. She doesn’t want to leave her baby. Sometimes she just starts
crying. It’s hard for her.’
Race to lose the pounds: According to a new report, Jessica Simpson, who gave birth to a baby girl last month, has been given the task of losing 50lbs in just five months
Sources tell the publication that the
singer, who weight a reported 210 pounds at the height of her pregnancy, is also
physically exhausted.
‘She’s
consumed with the new baby,’ another source told the magazine. ‘She and
Eric are often up with Maxi (Maxwell) all night.’
Jessica,
who is said to have enjoyed a diet including Mac and cheese, Pop-Tarts, peanut butter and
jelly sandwiches, Cap’n Crunch and fried chicken while she was pregnant,
is said to be desperate to get her body back.

Progress: Last week the blonde singer showed off her entire body for the first time since giving birth, and right, seen heavily pregnant in March
‘She gets so upset,’ her friend said. ‘She wants her body back so badly, but it’s beyond hard.’

However she reportedly throws in the odd treat in between for the sake of not caving altogether.
‘She’ll have the occasional slice of pizza. If she feels deprived, it won’t last,’ the source added.
Jessica has also enlisted trainer Harley Pasternak to whip her into shape.
And another motivation to drop the weight and get into shape, friends say, is her new daughter.
‘Jessica
wants to set a good example for Maxi,’ an insider told In Touch. ‘She
wants to teach her daughter to have a healthy lifestyle.’
This month Jessica has been spotted several times leaving the gym and her sessions are clearly paying off.
Last week as she approached her car,
the blonde singer showed off her entire body for the first time since
giving birth last month and she definitely looked slimmer.
Jessica
has quietly been working up a sweat, sticking religiously to her
workout regime in a bid to shift her post-pregnancy pounds.
Wearing
an all black gym outfit that consisted of leggings, a tracksuit top and
trainers, she seemed eager to get into her waiting car and head home to
her child.
It’s
not the first time that Jessica has been seen leaving a private gym in
Los Angeles as in the same week she was spotted finishing another
workout.
The blonde Texas beauty gave birth to her first child with her fiancé, former NFL star Eric Johnson, on May 1.

Jessica was spotted publicly for the
first time since giving birth as she arrived to Harley Pasternak’s gym
in West Hollywood, where she has been undergoing her workout sessions.
New addition: The blonde Texas beauty gave birth to her first child with her fiancé, former NFL star Eric Johnson, on May 1
It was announced shortly after the birth that Jessica would front the latest Weight Watchers campaign.
However, the singer was unable to start working out for several weeks on doctor’s orders due to having a C-section.
After getting the all-clear, she is now combining a new exercise regime with a healthy eating plan she had already kicked off.
Jessica spoke to People, in which she appeared in a photoshoot with daughter Maxwell and Eric, revealing she is eating protein-packed means and drinking home-mixed juices to help shed pounds.
Her dietary restrictions come after she was forced to deny on several occasions that she was having twins because of the size of her baby bump, which appeared to grow larger than average.
However, she said in March doctors put her blooming figure down to the fact that she had excess amniotic fluid.
She told chat show host Ellen DeGeneres: ‘I feel I have a bowling ball sitting on my hoo haa!’
‘Apparently I have a lot of amniotic fluid, so whenever my water breaks it will be like a fire hydrant!’
Now, the singer says she is anxious to shed her baby weight.
Jessica told People: ‘After you have your baby it’s like, “Oh my God, what happened to my body… this is not me”.’
Jessica revealed she planned to join Weight Watchers before she learned she was pregnant, having dealt with years of yo-yo dieting.
The singer said she simply wants to feel comfortable in her skin again.

@@ Ruth, Britain – Its a shame to see new mums like Jessica Simpson and Michelle Heaton seeming to be more obsessed with getting their figure back than just enjoying their child. – Who said they aren’t enjoying there babies as well as losing weight and getting fit?? What a stupid thing to say, it’s not one or the other!!

Good god woman, your baby is weeks old! Hormones and lack of sleep are enough to worry about. Don’t punish yourself to lose all that weight in such a short time, in the grand scheme of things there’s no need, it will come off if you eat well! Just enjoy your baby.

As usual Dtaily Mail speculates on a woman’s diet. You don’t live with her how exactly would you know her diet??? Leave the new mum to be. It’s none of your beeswax.

Being pregnant isn’t a license to pig out and eat garbage foods, hello, the baby was ingesting that garbage as well. She’s probably bawling from all the chemical detox from the additives, colourings and sugar she gorged on all those months. She may be rich, but she’s not clever.

so she’s not following Weight Watchers Programme to lose it then? Seems hypocrytical to me if she is going to endorse the scheme?
