The American singer is thought to be dating Florence + The Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd, after they were seen smooching at a recent music festival.
They are said to be very taken with each other, with Katy loving the two sides of Rob’s character. Katy is in the process of divorcing Russell Brand and has apparently told her friends that Rob is exactly what she needs at the moment
“He’s a super-lovely, sweet, romantic guy who will treat her like a princess. And after everything that happened with Russell, that’s just what she needs – but he’s also got this bad boy side and that’s exactly her type,” a source told Look magazine.
She’s also introduced him to her friends and they are all very happy for her. Rihanna was said to be particularly impressed.
“He’s a rocker in a band and a big fan of tattoos. Katy says that it’s really sexy that he’s in a band and they’ve worked with a lot of the same producers,” the insider added. “She’s already introduced him to her best friends, actress Shannon Woodward and Rihanna, who thoroughly approve.”
