Katy Perry, John Mayer vacation in Miami

Katy Perry may be a “California Gurl” at heart, but this past weekend she was spotted lounging poolside on vacation in Miami — and she wasn’t alone. Renowned crooner/heartbreaker John Mayer made sure this recent divorcee didn’t get too lonely, witnesses say.
The pair reportedly had a brief fling in 2009, but as we all know, Perry went on to marry British comedian Russell Brand in 2010, divorcing him two years later. Mayer, on the other hand, hasn’t exactly been pining over the Perry; he’s been romantically linked to Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, and Taylor Swift.

Even though sources say Mayer and Perry were “so flirty and all over each other,” and apparently really love cuddling and eating pizza together (not at the same time, we hope), these romantic rumours could be a pure “Teenage Dream.” Neither star has commented on the relationship, and there are some really confusing timelines happening in the series of reports resulting from the spotting. Some sources say that the canoodling and pizza-gorging happened while the pair was relaxing in Florida this past weekend, while others say that the meetup happened back in June, a few weeks before Katy Perry’s divorce was actually finalized.

This all seems like a lot of hub-bub over a few eskimo kisses and a pizza party. Besides, it seems that Perry might be hopping on the R-Pattz train, now that his relationship with “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart might be on the outs. Regardless, now that Perry’s back on the market, we’re sure there’s more than one suitor vying to be her next travel buddy!
