Singer Katy Perry has received a face full of gunge at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

KATY Perry has hit a benchmark set by Michael Jackson — with the “Teenage Dream” singer Wednesday tying the King of Pop’s record for the most number one singles from the same album.

Perry’s single Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, Billboard announced.

The song is the fifth single from Perry’s Teenage Dream album to hit number one, making the 26-year-old the first female artist and only the second artist overall to produce five Hot 100 number one singles from the same album.

Perry’s other number ones from Teenage Dream were the title track, E.T., California Gurls and Firework.

Jackson did it in 1987 with the album Bad and the singles I Just Can’t Stop Loving You, The Way You Make Me Feel, Man in the Mirror, Dirty Diana – plus the title track.

“What a way to wake up! SO proud to announce that the little-engine-that-could of a song LAST FRIDAY NIGHT is officially #1 made HISTORY!” Perry tweeted Wednesday.
