Katy Perry Spends Christmas Day Splashing Around in Hawaii
The ‘Firework’ hitmaker shows off her curves in a skimpy two-piece bikini when hitting the beach on the island of Kauai during vacation with husband Russell Brand and some friends.
Katy Perry celebrated this year’s Christmas under the tropical sun of Hawaii. On Sunday, December 25, the “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” singer was caught on camera showing off her curves in a skimpy two-piece bikini as she took a dip in the ocean and soaked up the sun on the sand on the island of Kauai.
Taking a break before performing two concerts in Asia in mid-January 2012, the 27-year-old star flew to the island to spend the holiday with husband Russell Brand and some friends. Brand, however, was nowhere to be seen when Perry hit the beach with best friend Markus Molinari and several others.
Despite Brand’s absence from the beach outing, an eyewitness told PEOPLE that the couple, who were recently hit with split rumors, “looked very happy when they stepped off their private plane in Kauai before Christmas weekend.” The two as well as their friends reportedly stayed in a private rented luxury villa during the vacation.
Perry and Brand were rumored to have been separating since the two were rarely seen together following their October 2010 wedding. Quickly debunking the speculations was the “Firework” hitmaker as she tweeted on November 30, “First I’m pregnant then I’m divorced. What am I All My Children ?!” Brand himself told Ellen DeGeneres he’s “really happily married.”
