Looks like Katy Perry just doesn’t like Michigan
Hard to say exactly how much the Mitten State does or doesn’t dislike Katy Perry, but news today sure makes it look like Katy Perry just straight up hates our guts. MLive reports that Perry has canceled her December 1 show at Grand Rapids’ Van Andel Arena, which isn’t that big of a deal, but it is kind of strange considering that Perry had already rescheduled the show once from its original September 11 date, due to a “respiratory illness” Perry had. Which also isn’t that big of a deal, but it is kind of strange considering the concert was postponed on the original date of the show.
Live Nation, Perry’s concert promoter, says the cancellation is due to “unforeseen production and scheduling conflicts.” We’re just going to assume she hates us here in Michigan instead. It has yet to be seen if Perry’s hubby, Russell Brand, will follow the California gurl’s lead for his Nov. 16 gig at EMU.
