A somber Rihanna was seen leaving her Manhattan hotel Friday afternoon to attend her grandmother’s funeral in Brooklyn.
The “Where Have You Been” singer, donning a navy blue wrap dress and a chic top-knot, looked emotional as she held a companion’s hand.

Rihanna posted an Instagram picture early Friday morning of a note that she appeared to have written.
“IMA TRY TO BE A BIG GIRL NOW….#Dear Dolly,” the star wrote.
The singer posted several tweets honoring her grandmother Thursday, the same day she attended her wake.
“Dry cry, even tears… Even my heart cry but who cares?!” Rihanna wrote.

This is not the first time the Barbados beauty has taken to Twitter to express her emotions.
Rihanna shared several photos of herself and her ailing grandmother, with the message “Goodbye #grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you” to announce her grandmother’s passing Sunday.
