Shakira singing to light up Olimpiysky stadium

Even though the grandiose opening of the reconstructed national sport complex Olimpiysky is a thrilling event in itself, the true highlight of the celebration will be the performance of the Latin-American pop diva Shakira.
She will perform her best hits accompanied by her sizzling dancing in a 40-minute concert.
The opening ceremony promises to be a world-class event.
In a selection of theatre vignettes nearly 2,000 participants will reenact the founding and the baptism of Kyiv and will tell the story of the Ukrainian kozaks.
Legendary sports figures, junior teams and volunteers will walk through the reconstructed stadium in a celebratory parade.
The Ukrainian president will address the visitors and the TV audience with solemn greetings.
The celebration will be broadcasted live on channel “Ukraine.”
