Sock it to her!
Probably preggo pop princess Jessica Simpson tweeted during the Pats-Cowboys game that she likes “the Patriots [team stats] socks.” Leaving oh-so-many unanswered questions — only one of which actually has to do with fashion!
First off, as we all know, Jess’ ex, Tony Romo, was under center for the Cowboys at Gillette Sunday. Simpson’s current S.O. is Needham homey Eric Johnson, a Yale grad and former NFL player whose current occupation appears to be: Probable Baby Daddy.
So was Jess watching the game to check up on Tony? Or is Eric a Pats fan who routinely roots for the hometown team on Sundays?
And what of the future Mrs. Johnson’s odd tweet? The Patriots were wearing white socks with blue stripes Sunday. Not all that fashion-forward. Was Jess, who once confused chicken and tuna, mixing up shoes and socks? Because the boys were decked out in their hot-pink breast cancer awareness kicks.
Or was she perhaps sending a message to her ex that she saw his ugly day at work that was topped off by a heroic game-snatching drive by a far superior QB? Discuss …
