‘Stars in Their Eyes’ girl murdered
A beautiful Stars in Their Eyes contestant has been murdered with her family in a grizzly triple murder.
Kesha Wizzart, 18, was battered to death in her Manchester home with her brother Fred, 13, and their mother Beverley Samuels, 35.
Their bodies were found yesterday evening.
Kesha was 15 when she beat 40,000 hopefuls to land a place on ITV talent show Stars in Their Eyes: Kids 2004.
She failed to win as US singer Toni Braxton but was a big hit and tipped for great things.
Neighbour Darren Pritchard, 27, said: ‘Kesha was a beautiful young girl working hard at college and she had a fantastic voice.’
Another neighbour Anthony Griffin, 38, said: ‘They were a lovely family. My son would play with Fred all the time. He’s in sheer disbelief. Everybody’s in shock.’
Police are standing guard outside the house in Fallowfield, Manchester, today.
Neighbours said Mrs Samuels, who works as a nurse at Manchester Royal Infirmary, had split up with the children’s father Fred. He runs a computer spares business.
An answer machine message at the business today says it is closed due to ‘unforseen circumstances’.
