Most people are lucky if they can eke out their birthday for a week.

But Paris Hilton looks to be in store for a celebratory fortnight.

The hotel heiress dined out at Beso on Hollywood Boulevard, 11 day after turning 31.

Paris stepped out in a bejewelled
black cocktail gown speckled with enough sequins to rival the skating
costumes on Dancing On Ice.

The plunging neckline was rather
overshadowed by the large sunglasses, despite it being nightfall,
together the princess tiara and what seemed to be two mobile phones in
her hand.

After the festivities, Paris tweeted:
‘Just had a fun surprise birthday dinner at @BesoHollywood. Thanks
@SylvainBitton JT. Love your restaurant! Amazing food
ambience.’

The LA restaurant, owned by Eva
Longoria and celebrity chef Todd English, claims to give a Latin twist
on traditional Steakhouse cuisine. The venue is also twinned with A-list
nightclub Kiss.

As if she hasn’t had enough gifts from her wealthy plethora of friends, Paris has been purchasing presents for herself.

Last Friday, she attended Terry Richardson’s exhibition with her sister Nicky and purchased a piece called The Paparazzi Machine.

Writing on her blog, she said: ‘The video doesn’t do justice to the way it looks in real life.

‘It’s such a cool art instillation (sic) and even has motion sensors so when you walk by it flashes and makes noises. Think I’m going to hang it in the nightclub I built in my house. ’

And while Paris is still flying the flag for party animals, Nicole Richie is concentrating on family life.

The mother-of-two spoke to Ocean Drive magazine, recalling their time together as ‘fond memories’.

She said: ‘I have fond memories of that time. I was doing a show with my best friend and we didn’t really have to do much. We were just being ourselves – and playing it up for the cameras.’
