Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean To Be Honored On CMT Artists Of The Year Special

(RTTNews) – Taylor Swift and Jason Aldean are among five of the biggest names in country music that will be honored on CMT’s Artists of the Year special, which celebrates the five top country acts in terms of sales, radio airplay, concert activity and video downloads. Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Lady Antebellum will also be honored on the special, which will air December 13 at 9pm.

During the past 12 months, these five artists have collectively sold over nine million albums and more than 20 million individual downloads of their current singles. The quintuplet has also garnered three million radio plays over the last 12 months.

Scheduled to be taped in Nashville, the CMT Artists of the Year celebration will feature performances from the honorees as well as celebrity peers from across the entertainment spectrum.
